these photos likely don't need much context, due to the visibility of the protests initially organized by Adbusters in this nyc park, which have spread to over 900 cities globally (so says the internet).
I have missed most of the marches around the city and this day when we visited was fairly quiet since most people were up occupying times square instead; but there was a decent crowd keeping the park engaged — though sadly there was but a short bout the people's mic in action. a lot is said critically about the lack of structure of the movement, but to me it felt organized in an appropriately loose way.
Tomorrow we'll be watching Oakland, and Saturday this group invites you to transfer your money to a credit union.
